How We Work
Our team can conduct an ICT Security Best Practice Assessment with analysis and improvement recommendations against your entire ICT technology stack, using industry security and best practice checks and compliance considerations.
Some of these ICT technology stacks could include Identity Management, Azure, Mobile Device Management (MDM), Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, Google Apps for Business, Mimecast, Gateways, and Wireless Access Points, to name a few.
Our team will work with you to discover the technology stacks deployed in your organization ensuring all critical technologies are assessed.
ICT Security Best Practice Assessment
An ICT Security Best Practice Assessment will allow your organization to quickly determine the security posture of your organization’s technology stacks. Where areas of improvement or risk are identified, additional information to remediate these risks is provided. This allows your organization to self-remediate, or alternatively, you can rely on the experience of Silicon Overdrive to assist you with remediations.

Governance, Risk and Compliance
Our team can assist your organization to design, implement and operate a logical set of policies and
procedures to manage risks to your information assets allowing you to create an effective Information Security Management System (ISMS). Some of the leading advocates of ISMS concepts include frameworks from ISO 27001 and PCI DSS.
Our team will work with you to understand your specific requirements and help strategize what frameworks should be considered.
Thereafter, we recommend Silicon Overdrive conducts either an ISO 27002 Gap Analysis or a PCI DSS Gap Analysis which will allow your organization to quickly identify areas requiring immediate attention, and cost-effective remediation.
Specialist Rates
Our Specialist engineer Agreement hourly rate is R1000, our Project hourly rate is R1200 and our ad hoc hourly rate is R1400 Exc. VAT.
Project Hours Option
The Project hours are a block of hours paid in advance, at a discounted hourly rate. A new block of hours is only purchased when the current block of hours has been fully utilized.
Any additional hours required will be billed at the prevailing ad hoc rates.
Agreement Option
The Agreement option is a monthly commitment for support hours and managed services paid in
advance, at the best hourly rates.
Agreement hours, unlike Project hours, are capacity managed to ensure availability of the engineers assigned to the project for the hours authorized per month. Engagements over and above the monthly allocated agreement hours are subject to availability, as they cannot be capacity managed in advance.
The agreement is flexible, the number of hours included can be changed by the Client on a month to month basis and unutilized hours carry. Any additional hours required will be billed at the prevailing ad hoc rates. Access to support and our AWS team would be on an Agreement basis for several business, continuity, and service delivery reasons.
Support
We can provide ongoing support under agreement to meet your requirements, including operations and cost optimization tasks including:

- DR, backup and restore
- Support, sysops, troubleshooting and escalation procedures

Security & Compliance
We offer a complimentary AWS security and compliance assessment using Trend Vision One™ – Cyber Risk Exposure Management (formerly Trend Cloud One™ – Conformity) on one of your existing AWS accounts.
This assessment identifies security and compliance risks in your AWS environment and provides actionable remediation recommendations to help you improve your security posture and meet governance and compliance requirements.
You’ll also receive detailed reporting with compliance scores aligned to industry standards such as the AWS Well-Architected Framework, GDPR (POPIA), ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA, and NIST.
With AWS competencies in both Cloud Management Tools and Security, we leverage Trend Micro’s unified security platform to deliver continuous assurance that your infrastructure is compliant, secure, and optimized. This includes both risk assessment and real-time threat
